Crochet doll diaper free pattern

I had actually been looking for a dress pattern but a diaper cover popped up in the search and I went down that garden path instead.

The original pattern is here http://flowerscreations.blogspot.ca/2012/05/free-diaper-cover-pattern.html but it’s for a real baby and it’s a diaper cover but I adapted the pattern to fit a 12 inch to 16 inch doll.

Switch to contrasting color, ch 1 and sc around the outside of the diaper. Fasten off and weave in ends

Tip: use 2 st on the turns of each corner

Attach button on side of work where you are seeing the right side of the lining color. Fasten off, and weave in ends.

I had to use 2 buttons because I chose very thick yarn for the diaper so one button wouldn’t go through both straps.

For the next diaper I will use yarn half that thickness.
