This is why I haven’t blogged much this week, I’ve been crocheting this thing. It’s not actually a bathmat, it’s for the floor on Hubby’s side of the bed which is kind of narrow. Correspondingly, this mat is more long than wide.
You will need 7 balls of Bernat yarn in the colours of your choice. I used Robin’s Egg, Hot Blue and French Blue; and a #7 crochet hook. And about a week of your time if you have kids.
Assuming you already have the hook, the Bernat balls are $2 each, so this bathmat, custom coloured to your bathroom; costs $14, is 100% cotton, and washable.
Row 1: Sc in ea sc beginning in 2nd sc from hook. 60 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, turn, sc in ea 60 sc
Row 3-4: rep Row 2.
Rest of mat: Sc in ea sc around, making 3 sc in the corner sc. End when it’s the size you want with 3 sl st right before the next corner. Weave in ends.
