How to make a doorstop from an old popcorn tin

When my cousin was in boy scouts they had a fundraiser selling popcorn in scout tins. My grandfather was a great supporter and bought popcorn for everyone. For years I had been using the tin to hold our cloth napkins for the inevitable and guaranteed messes the kids would make every meal.

When we moved to this house, the basement door had a tendency to always close on itself, thus preventing proper eavesdropping on the kids’ behaviour down in the basement. So I put the can down on the ground as a doorstop.

Since I still had spray paint leftover from the entry way redo, I put it to use so the tin matches!
