How to make a fabric covered clothes hanger free pattern

Since the paper option of the previous post isn’t perfect to cover both sides of the hanger, I moved on to fabric. Also fabric lasts longer.

It’s done the same way as the paper cover, but lasts longer and covers the whole hanger.

You’ll cut this out, then fold up at the middle along the bottom of the hanger. Fold down the top inch and iron in place.

Then use Stitch Witchery or any No Sew Hem Tape which is basically a fusible kind of polymer that irons into glue from the heat. Don’t forget to cover with a damp cloth before pressing in the iron. Or at least that’s what my package instructions said.

You could just sew this in place but to me that seems harder. Still, it costs less than the $4 package of Stitch Witchery and will work just as well.

Thank goodness the red lines aren’t visible from the front.
